29. Boot loader operating system list (this is the place where can set which OS should be prefer while start up/ or set to OTHER option will be Windows XP)
30. 1.other : dev/sda1 (sda1 stands Drive C in Xp )
2..Fedora :/dev/sda..
Renaming other as windows Xp

32.click on edit button >> change label or other >> to windows Xp>>click OK>>Next >> NEXT
33. Checking dependency >> Next>> Auto install process started
34. This may take several minute >>

36. pakage will be loading>> it will take 45 minutes appx..
37. installing bootloader >> Congratulation installation complete >>Reboot >>click
38. Post installation task system will be reboot >> choose fedora>> click any key
39. welcome screen comes >>forward>>license information >> forward
40. create user at least one>> enter username and password >> click forward
41. Set date and time forward >>send hardware profile (if internet available )>>or do not send >>click finish
42. Login as user/root supplying correct password ……

Installing Fedora Core9 (III)

20. Mount point : boot ,file type :ext2 ,size(MB) : 5000MB, fixed size
21. click on OK button
22. Again repeat the process, >>select free space >> new >>
23. Mount point :: - -, (nothing or blank) , file type:: swap , size (MB) : double of RAM size >>fixed size >> click on OK button
24. >> OK >> NEXT >>
25. Again click on Next button

Dual-boot on system (II)

15. For dual-boot on system there is needed for free space on hard disk (Minimum 12 GB) , this task should be done before installation of linux.
16. Generally the three major partition is required as follow:-
(a) . root ( /) partition 5GB of free space (its better for Swap partition ) on hard disk
(b). boot partition 5GB of free space .
(c). and last but not the least Swap partition ( size:- double of RAM size ,for example if on having RAM of size 512MB then he has to provide 1GB for swap

17. select free space >>click on new menu >> window will be open
ADD partition
Mount Point : / ( / slash stand for root)

File type : ext2

Allowable driver : ------

Size : 5000 MB (i.e 5GB)

Fixed size: ok


18. click on OK button
19. Again repeat ,click / select free space >> click new >>
20. Mount point : boot ,file type :ext2 ,size(MB) : 5000MB, fixed size

How to install fedora core 9 as 2nd OS
How to install Fedora core 9(Linux On Computer as 2nd operating system ?
Here each steps and caution given that how to install linux OS just follow them its very easy:
Step 1:Insert DVD/CD of Fedora and restart the system/computer.
Step 2:Click on Install or upgrade an existing system and press ente
Step 3 :Welcome screen will come .
Step 4 : Disk found >click Skip


Step 5:running anaconda (the linux installer)
Step 6:Fedora Home Page >> click Next
Select language during installation

Step 7:What language would you like to use during installation process ? choose
English press Next . (select language)
Select language

Step 8:Select appropiate keyboard for the system >>select U.S English >>click Next
Select Keyboard/mouse type

Step 9:Network services for P/S computer >Manually (localhost.localdomain)
Step 10:click >>Next
Step 11:Select nearest city in your time zone >>select by dragging mouse or by drom down menu given >>click Next

Step 12:The root account is used for administrating the system >>Enter a password for root user>> Given>>confirm>>click Next

Step 13:Now critical time has come for Partition on your hard drive/disk when ypu need to make partition on free space of your hard disk..

Installation requires partition on your hard disk drive.By defaut, a partitioning layout is chosen which is reasonable for most users you can either choose to use this or create your own:-

All possible option will be given :
1:remove all partition on selected drives and create default layout(most dangerous for Xp).
2:remove linux partition on selected drives and create default layout(most dangerous for Xp).
3:resize existing partition on selected drives and create default layout(most dangerous for Xp).
4:use free space on selected drives and create default layout(most dangerous for Xp).

5:Create Custom layout >>click on Next(Click on Green signal most safe partition)
